Connector docs
Use Kleardata from your AI assistant.
The Kleardata connector lets an assistant draft strategies and plans, check coverage, preview and publish, and fetch setup checklists in your workspace, under your own role.
Connect
- You need a Kleardata workspace. Start free if you do not have one.
- In your assistant, add a custom connector (a remote MCP server) with the address
https://mcp.kleardata.com/mcp. - Sign in with your Kleardata account when the assistant asks. The connection belongs to you, with your role and scope.
- Ask it to “describe my Kleardata workspace”.
If you sign in with an email that has no workspace yet, the assistant is told to create a free one at app.kleardata.com first, then reconnect. To disconnect, remove the connector in your assistant.
Tools
Read-only tools change nothing. Draft tools change only drafts. Publishing creates IDs, and it asks for confirmation.
| Tool | What it does | Changes data |
|---|---|---|
describe_workspace | Summarizes the workspace: template, stages, channels, valid keys, strategy and what your role may do. | No |
explain_term | Explains a Kleardata term and what this workspace has for it. | No |
find_items | Searches strategies, plans, nodes and org objects by name. | No |
show_view | Opens a view: in market, campaign map, timeline, coverage, publish preview or setup. | No |
check_coverage | Compares the plan to the strategy and lists gaps and off-strategy activity. | No |
preview_plan | Shows what publishing a plan would create, without creating it. | No |
get_setup | Returns the setup checklist and bulk files for a platform. | No |
audit_names | Checks live names you paste for missing tracking IDs. | No |
set_up_workspace | Applies business-model templates to seed stages, audiences and a starter strategy. Never overwrites what you already set. | Adds |
add_reference | Adds a business unit, market, audience or similar to the workspace. | Adds |
draft_strategy | Creates or updates a draft strategy with goals and allocations. | Drafts |

clone_program | Copies a program into a new draft, with dates shifted. | Drafts |
attach_asset | Fills a creative slot with copy, a link or a thumbnail. | Yes |

Example prompts
- “Describe my Kleardata workspace.”
- “Check my FY27 strategy against the plan. What is missing?”
- “Draft a plan for the spring promo: an upgrade email and a push message to free workspaces. Preview it.”
- “Clone last year's always-on program and shift every date by twelve months.”
- “Which of these live Meta ad names have no Kleardata ID?” (then paste the names)
- “Give me the Braze setup checklist for the spring promo.”
Permissions and safety
- The connector signs in as you. It sees and changes only what your role and scope allow, and a partner sees only their own work.
- Drafts stay drafts. IDs are created only by
publish_plan, which requiresconfirm: true. - Every change is recorded in the audit log under your membership, with the tool name and the object, never the arguments.
- Kleardata does not run an AI model and does not connect to ad platforms or your warehouse.
